  John Dunne.

At about the time I finished with Terry I was introduced to a soldier called John. We immediately fell for each other and became lovers right away.

John was a much more serious and mature person than Terry had been. He was also more devious. This portrait was taken in a London studio in 1963.
Soon though he was posted to Cyprus and I spent the next eight months writing and receiving love letters at Winchester where I was staying after my discharge from Her Majesty's Service. When John left the Army we found a bedsitter and lived together in Enmonton, a suburb in the north east of London.

I was training to be a hairdresser and went daily to a hairdressing school in Enfield. John who had been used to clerical work in the army found himself employment as a clerk in some office in the city.

We parted as a result of John's having sexual experiences with other people. I was young, inexperienced in making either friendships or relationships and didn't know how to handle my jealousy so we terminated our relationship acrimoniously. A few years later I was informed by a mutual friend that he had committed suicide.

Just like the note below the picture says our time together was enjoyable.
