Saturday 5th August.
It took just over four and a half hours to drive up to Edinburgh through the rolling English countryside and the hills and glens of the border country. The Alva House, where I'd booked b & b was quite easy to find. When I arrived I was made to feel very welcome by Jimmy, a forty something, who takes care of the day-to-day running. He showed me to a single room and when I complained that there were no wardrobes he sympathised with me that there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation as all the rooms in the house were fundamentally the same. He did say he would talk to the owners about the situation as there was a double room and they may be willing to let me have that instead which would give me shelf space although there were still be no hanging space. I accepted this and moved my things. Jimmy offered to take me round the town to show me where the gay bars were and to drop me off at the sauna. I enjoyed the sauna, sweated profusely in the steam room and played round with a couple of Chinese boys in the jacuzzi. I got back to my guest house and slept soundly after my long drive.

005edinburgh.jpgI motored over to Liberton in the south of the city to take a look at my old school. The front of the building and the gardens had hardly changed at all over the years. 008edinburgh.jpgHowever the interior which is essentially a large square courtyard was covered in concrete flags in my day and is now paths and gardens. Of course Dr Guthrie's Boy's School is now a nursing home and residential centre for old people.

After the parade finished I wandered back toward the royal mile and found a restaurant where I ate dinner before returning to Alva House.

I went out again just after nine o'clock to freshen up at the sauna. There were only three people in the sauna and although I had some sexual fun, hugs, kisses and cuddles I didn't feel satisfied. holding this frustration within I went to Newtown bar where I spent the rest of the evening chatting and drinking.

When I came back to my hotel room I found that the young Asian boy, James, in the single room next door was still up and about so I invited him to join me. We had a very pleasing and satisfying session on my double bed. Short but very satisfying and after we finished he returned to his room and I fell asleep.
