When we were exercising in the Indian Ocean we took on board an officer transferred at sea by helicopter. I was not on the duty-watch so was able to take my camera out and capture this snapshot.

The roar of the helicopter motors was quite deafening as it drove the spinning blades to maintain the machine in a stable hovering position while the officer was lowered slowly to the swaying deck below.
