I met a soldier called Jimmy Winstanley when I was in hospital in Singapore before returning to the United Kingdom. It seems that most of the people I meet and become friendly with are called Jimmy. It's also a Naval expression for the first officer on board ship. Photo taken at Tampin Malaya 14 Dec 1961.
